Juice World used this beat for Lucid Dreams, the track came out alright, but this one by Sting is the original. Sting wrote the song and played the instruments or some of them for Shape of My Heart track on the Leon the Professional soundtrack. The lyrics are so metaphoric it’s kind of an interesting choice of words to put together in this one, I think anyway. He talks about cards, and each card has a suit, you know, hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds.
The spade is always the power card; it represents the sword. The club much like the spade is another weapon, and the diamond is the money that the game can bring. However, despite knowing this the author does not treasure that in his heart. Jesus said where you find your treasure is where you find your heart, no truer words. So, money is not it for Sting, he is a true artist. After all money is countable, anything that is countable will not make you happy, true story mark that down and live it, or get busy living, your time is running out. Mine is food, I love good food, anyway…
I work with a fellow who used to program the games you play at casinos. I was curious if the games are “rigged” in such a manner that you can “tweak” the settings and make the machine pay when provoked. He told me no; it truly is random. You can argue as to whether randomness is real or not. Some say it’s not because the universe is deterministic and that you can match each cause with its effect. However, radiation decay is not always consistent and varies hence randomness does exist, I don’t know seems like another rhetorical thing.
I wanted to do some math here; there are a couple of hands that you can get in poker that are really rare. The straight flush and the particular straight flush with royal cards the royal flush. In order to calculate the odds on getting delt this hand goes like this. There are 52 cards in the deck, a 5-card hand has 52 choose 5 or 2,598,960 possible combinations. The number of straight flushes (excluding royal) is 40. I couldn’t quite come up with how that is so, 2-9 in 4 suits is 36 not 40 but I must have missed something. The probability of getting dealt a straight flush is 1 in 64,974. It’s possible, but not probable.

Obviously my interests include philosophy. I think thinking and thought are the beginning of every great thing. It’s how we understand and perceive the world.
